THE ORIGINAL “ENTERPRISE COOL KID”
Our five-year, multi-phase campaign made SuccessFactors one of the most talked about enterprise startups, which helped take them through IPO leading up to their multi-billion dollar acquisition by SAP.
Although SuccessFactors was taking the HR world by storm in 2006, they were virtually unknown. When LaunchSquad stepped in, we worked to elevate them to “enterprise cool kid” status. We embarked on a multi-year, multi-phase campaign that made them the most talked about enterprise startup, and eventually led to their successful IPO.
Together, LaunchSquad and SuccessFactors defined a new category: “Business Execution Software.” This helped differentiate the company from more established players in the market.
SuccessFactors received a cascade of love from the media. CEO Lars Dalgaard and SuccessFactors were featured across the board in the business press, HR trades, and mainstream media during our tenure.
As SuccessFactors began prepping for IPO in 2007, our PR strategy focused on highlighting their technology at work, and the impact that technology had on customers. We showcased fantastic customer case studies, and announced that SuccessFactors had achieved the largest SaaS implementation ever.
BUILDING IPO MOMENTUM
SuccessFactors was well-prepared for coverage as they launched their IPO in 2007. We supported them every step of the way and were thrilled when they were acquired for $3.6 billion by SAP in 2011.
