Anacor Pharmaceuticals

Biotech Startup Attacking Anthrax

Anacor Pharmaceuticals (Palo Alto, CA) is an early-stage pharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery and development of treatments for serious bacterial and fungal infections, especially for biodefense. In September 2002, Anacor turned to LaunchSquad to publicize the company's introduction to the market and it's $21 million government contract from DARPA.

Overcoming the Glut of Biotech Stories

Anacor charged LaunchSquad with communicating this groundbreaking story to the biotechnology industry, government-focused publications, local business media and the venture capital community.

LaunchSquad embarked on an aggressive media relations campaign designed to create impactful coverage for Anacor in the top publications that reached its core audiences.
