3 LS companies named to AlwaysOn list

AlwaysOn released their first annual AO Media 100 list yesterday, which highlights the private companies considered game-changing players in advertising, marketing and promotion. Three LaunchSquad companies were recognized: Adify, Jingle Networks and Revcube.

Adify CEO Larry Braitman will be speaking at the AlwaysOn Media conference later this month in New York on a panel entitled Are There Chinks in Googles Advertising Armor?” Should be an interesting discussion; we’ll report back here on the event…

eWeek cover story on RSS

eWeek’s cover story this week, “ReaSonS, ReSultS, RiskS: RSS in the Enterprise,” discusses the fast-emerging trend of companies deploying RSS technology to help employees mitigate email overload and foster better knowledge sharing and collaboration. The story prominently features our client, NewsGator Technologies, which has quickly emerged as the clear leader in this hot market, and one of the major players in the Enterprise 2.0 sphere. Three of NewsGator’s customers, including Proctor & Gamble, were featured in the eWeek piece.

The company is on a hot streak: NewsGator Enterprise Server won a recent bakeoff of enterprise RSS solutions in InfoWorld, and was given a product of the year award from that influential publication. Check out the NewsGator Daily blog for more.

For those who haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, RSS is a big deal and it’s here to stay. Soon, all of us will be using it as way to manage and digest news and information, whether we know it or not. It’s a perfect example of how profound an affect technology can have on making our lives easier.

What happens in Vegas…

At a packed press conference kicked off by celebrity guest Robin Leach at the 2007 International CES show in Las Vegas, LaunchSquad client MediaZone formally announced its Social TV platform. MediaZone’s platform is a new slant on online video, allowing social networks to form around professionally-produced, long form video, fundamentally changing the television experience. Reuters, GigaOm’s NewTeeVee, AP and many others covered the news. MediaZone has already made online video history with first ever live broadband coverage of Wimbledon and the New York Marathon and we’re all pretty excited here at LaunchSquad about more great things to come. Check it out for free and stay tuned for updates.

New additions to the Squad

We’d like to welcome our two newest members to the group:

  • Jill Pagliaro joins us with more than eight years of PR and marcom experience, including five years as head of PR for outdoor retailer The North Face. Jill most recently opened up the west coast operaton of a boutique PR firm and counseled a wide array of technology and consumer companies.
  • Amy Neal spent the last two years at a San Francisco-based furniture designer and manufacturer, where she developed and managed all PR programs.

We’re excited to have Jill and Amy join our growing team!
